I’m down three buy ins for the week, but that’s nearly all due to cold cards, so I’m feeling great about my ring game poker.
Especially my fold of top two pair on a KQT unsuited flop. I only got $5 into the pot (in the .10/.25 game) and I folded on the flop correctly. I read one of the other players for a better hand and I was right. He had the nuts — broadway.
The only real mistake I made was calling $5 on the river when a dude overpaid for his flush draw and hit. Other than that, lots and lots of cold cards and bad beats. I’m feeling very good about my skills and my decisions. Even though I’ve been losing money, like I said before, the money is an illusion. I’m winning big.
