I’ve been quiet here lately, mostly because I haven’t had much to write about other than about me playing some lousy poker. I feel like writing less when I’m playing poorly. I should probably write more when I’m playing poorly, and do more logging, information gathering, and analysis, but that’s not what I’ve been doing.
Anyway, I’m coming off of a few strong sessions and I’m feeling pretty good. Poker on the Internet can be tricky because the Internet offers so many freeking distractions. I think I have learned that I play my best online poker when I sit down for a short determined session and don’t do anything else online. It can seem natural to surf the Web or do work on a computer when the action dies down, but that’s got to be the wrong thing to do. There’s so much to watch at every table, and so much to learn. Sometimes its easy to forget that.
